Please see update below from Judith:
Hi All,
This isn’t the start of the school term we had planned!
Apologies for the inconvenience yesterday and today and thank you to everyone for collecting your children so promptly. I have just had a meeting with the Local Authority and been informed the repairs involve mains gas work so will not be a quick fix.
School will remain closed to all children Wednesday and Thursday and hopefully we can partially reopen on Friday. The council is sourcing a hot water system that can be powered by a generator which would allow us to open for most children on Friday in FOREST SCHOOL only. We would have packed lunches outside. We are aware some children with additional SEND needs wouldn’t cope with this and we will discuss this with you on an individual basis.
The council are looking at installing temporary heating and lighting next week so we can return to working in the building.
Amy Hindes will send out a google form link tomorrow to see who requires a place for Friday. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Due to the gas works on Campbell Park Road, our gas supply has been turned off and cannot be re-connected. School will therefore be closed on Friday 21st May as we are unable to open without hot water for hand washing due to COVID. They are hopeful that we will be reconnected over the weekend and ready to open on Monday morning and they will stay in contact with us to confirm, I will pass on any information as soon as I have it. Sorry for any inconvenience this will cause with your childcare arrangements

Thank you for your patience and understanding over this past week.
This post is to confirm that nursery will reopen from Monday 9th November for all children. However, your child may not be with all of their usual members of staff.
Now that we are in lockdown please remember that fully following the guidance is a requirement to your child attending school. The Government has confirmed ONE other adult is allowed to support a household with school drop off and pick ups as a childcare bubble.
Please do not arrive at school more than 5 minutes early to ensure ‘bubbles’ of children don’t mix. Only one adult to be with each child to limit the amount of people. Please stand on the yellow footprints while waiting. We are now asking all adults ( unless you are exempt) to wear a face covering while on the school site. Thank you for your cooperation.
Thank you and see you all tomorrow.

WEDNESDAY 4TH NOVEMBER 2020
Unfortunately we do not have enough staff who are fit and well to safely open the nursery on Thursday 5th and Friday 6th November.
We anticipate that the nursery will reopen to SOME children on Monday 9th November and we will clarify this by email on Sunday 8th.
We understand the inconvenience that this will be causing and hope that you appreciate we are doing everything we can to get ready to reopen in a safe way.
As always, if you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Hi,
Due to positive COVID cases, we currently do not have the staffing required to operate the nursery with the appropriate ratios.
The Sue Hedley Nursery School will remain closed on Monday 2nd, Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th November.
We anticipate reopening on Thursday 5th November and will clarify this with a reopening email on Wednesday 4th.
Please continue to email any child or household COVID tests to jreay@ thesuehedleynurseryschool.co. uk so we can monitor the situation.
Remote learning ideas for your child will be sent out on Monday 2nd November.
